Information about tallerBDN

tallerBDN is a centre dedicated to the creation, production and dissemination of sculpture, promoted and managed by a non–profit organisation which is supported by Badalona city council and the Generalitat of Catalonia. Its role encompasses two areas: as a physical workshop and as a virtual platform for sculptors and art professionals.

Workshop Complex

Taller BDN occupies an old industrial building situated in the centre of Badalona, easily accessible by motorway or train. The 650m² two storey building is bright and airy.

First floor:

• Six individual workshops equipped with workbenches, computer, cupboards, sink…
• Library specializing in sculpture and a meeting room
• Fully equipped Kitchen/dining room

These workshops are available upon request to sculptors, on submission of a specific project. Successful candidates will sign renewable six-month contracts. Please have a look in our fees (PDF).

Ground floor:

• The three sculptors with long-term workspaces offer both machinery and advice, upon request, to workshop residents and the artists renting the remaining sections of this floor.
• Bathroom
• An area which in the future will be used for workshops open to the general public.

Virtual Platform for Artists

In addition to the physical space, tallerBDN’s website allows sculptors and artists to present and promote their work, form part of a virtual community of artists, receive useful and up-to-date information about the world of contemporary sculpture.
