Sena, Joe
Colmar (Francia, 1989)
Resident of tallerBDN
Born 1989 in Colmar, France was a child painter who went on to the capital to train academic drawing. In 2012 he graduated from Saint Martin’s College of art and design in London before undertaking is own studio practice in Berlin.
At the crossroad of a west-African heritage, 1990’s french and american comic influences and general fascination for esoteric arts, his love of form has lead a relentless exploration of media ranging from drawing, poetry, photography and animation to painting and sculpture.
His characteristic boldness and intuitive approach flourish in spontaneous creative acts reminding of the divinatory duty of the artist.
“That what shines sees.” G. Bachelard
After first exhibiting sculptural objects in Berlin September 2020 and studying the fundaments of three dimensional work at the Alanus Kunsthochschule in Bonn Germany, he has joined TallerBDN March 2021 to pursue his craft of wooden objects, “drawn” in space.
